Terms of Service
By using Let's Decide, you agree to the rules below. We've kept them plain so you can actually read them.
1. The agreement
These Terms govern your access to and use of letsdecide.com (“Let's Decide”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, voting, commenting, or otherwise using the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use Let's Decide. You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up, to keep your password secure, and to be responsible for everything that happens under your account.
One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to influence votes is not allowed and is grounds for removal.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the comments and questions you post. You grant Let's Decide a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, reproduce, and distribute that content as part of operating and promoting the site — including in the public archive of past questions.
You are responsible for the content you submit. By posting, you confirm you have the right to post it and that it does not violate anyone's rights.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Let's Decide to:
- Harass, threaten, or target other users.
- Post spam, advertising, or content that exists primarily to drive traffic elsewhere.
- Post unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
- Attempt to manipulate the vote count through multiple accounts, automation, or other deception.
- Probe, scan, or attempt to break the security of the site.
- Use scripts or bots to interact with the site at a rate or scale that interferes with normal use.
5. Moderation
Comments are reviewed before they appear to other users. We may remove any content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion. We try to be fair, but we don't promise to explain every decision.
6. Service availability
Let's Decide is provided “as is.” We don't promise the site will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Let's Decide is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim related to the site is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).
8. Termination
You may stop using Let's Decide at any time and delete your account from the account settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, post a notice. Continued use of Let's Decide after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
